How do I read e-mail with Outlook?
Outlook is the e-mail component in Microsoft's Office suite. It must not be confused with Outlook Express, which is a completely different program. Check first which version of Outlook you are using, eg Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 for Windows or Outlook 2011 for Mac. If you are unsure which version of Outlook you have, it will be printed in large letters in the wizard windows you get the first time you launch Outlook, or you can select "Help|About" or "File|Help" from the menu inside the application.

Outlook supports e-mail with both POP3 and IMAP.

If you don't know the difference between POP3 and IMAP, you can find a short description here. If unsure, try POP3 first.
